RIALTA, the piece that replaces the dress.

Some swimsuits hide under a sarong the moment you leave the water. And then there's the Rialta. A one-piece designed like a dress, cut like a dress, worn like a dress. You go into the water with it, come back out, add flat sandals and a clutch, and walk across the beach, the harbor, the restaurant, the evening, without ever changing.

It's the piece that justifies investing in one swimsuit instead of buying three.

The Venice inspiration.

The name is no coincidence. The Rialta takes its name from the Rialto Bridge in Venice, the one that spans the Grand Canal and has held its line for four centuries. The piece borrows its architecture: sculptural construction, a chromatic depth that evokes the canals at dusk, ink-like reflections on the lagoon, silhouettes cut against the low evening light.

A deep nocturnal blue, almost black at its core, that brightens in the sun. A color that never dates, never wears visually, and holds against every skin tone effortlessly.

What makes all the difference:

The plunging V-neckline, cut for small busts. Most one-piece swimsuits are designed for a B cup or above, with cuts that gap or flatten on smaller busts. The Rialta's V-neckline is built for the opposite: a clean line that lengthens the torso, structures the silhouette, opens without exposing. On a AA, A, B or C cup, it's the neckline that works best. It draws what there is to draw, without ever faking it.

The fully open back. Bare from the nape to the lower back. It's the detail you don't see from the front, and that reveals itself when you turn around. The one that turns a beach exit into a noticed entrance at the hotel bar. The open back is held by a play of fine ties that don't compress, don't mark the skin, and hold without thinking about it.

The waist ruching. A deliberate pleat, hand-stitched at the Portuguese atelier, that marks the natural waist and creates controlled volume at the hips. The silhouette is drawn, not molded. The fabric moves with the body instead of freezing it. That's the difference between a swimsuit that holds and a swimsuit that sculpts.

The sun charm, La Smole's signature. A stainless steel sun, anchored at the center of the neckline. Against the nocturnal blue, the metal catches a cold gleam, like a last ray of light on dark water. It's the detail that anchors the Rialta within the collection, in dialogue with the Dea and Feral triangles that carry the same charm.

Fabric and commitment:

Made from Italian technical jersey, composed of 82% recycled polyamide and 18% elastane (175 g/m²). A premium swimwear fabric with a subtle sheen, smoothing without compressing, with a sleek, luminous hand that hugs the skin without marking it. Color holds against chlorine, salt and UV. The cut doesn't lose its shape after dozens of swims.

OEKO-TEX certified. Made in Portugal in an atelier specializing in premium swimwear.

Care

Rinse with clean water after each swim to remove salt, chlorine and sunscreen residue. Hand wash recommended in cold water, without fabric softener. Dry flat in the shade to preserve the depth of the nocturnal blue and the elasticity of the fabric.
