La Smole is a French swimwear brand designed for small busts. Cups AA, A, B and C are our whole job. We don't do swimwear that's "adapted" as an afterthought: we start from scratch and draw every piece so the triangles are the right size, the shape looks natural, and you never have to tug at your top all day again.

It's "small" the French way, unapologetic and a little cheeky. We took a word that had often been handed to us as a limit and turned it into the name of an entire brand. Nothing less, a lot more.

That's me, Daravy. I'm a corporate and M&A lawyer, based in Paris.

I decided to launch La Smole on the side because I was tired of never finding what I wanted in existing brands, and I realised thousands (millions?) of women felt the same. I handle everything: art direction, fabric sourcing, the relationship with our workshop, shipping, customer care. All of it, for now. I hope to grow the team one day.

Our models are designed and patterned specifically for AA to C cups, across all body shapes. If you wear a small D, some models may work for you, but we don't claim to dress everyone. Specialisation is exactly where our strength lies. You deserve a swimsuit drawn for your shape, not a standard model shrunk down.

In Portugal, in a workshop specialised in swimwear that I selected after several months of research.

The fabrics come from Italy and everything is OEKO-TEX certified, with most of our fabrics also carrying the GRS certification (Global Recycled Standard).

We work with three main ranges:

A luminous stretch jersey, 82% recycled polyamide and 18% elastane. It's the fabric of our Dea, Feral, Rialta and Matcha/Dalgo-Kini models.

A more structured material, 65% recycled polyamide and 35% elastane, ideal for embroidery. We use it on the Abyssa and the Obsidia.

A dedicated print fabric, 82% recycled polyester and 18% elastane, matte and soft to the touch, perfect for prints. It's the fabric of the Matcha-Kini and the Dalgo-Kini.

All of them resist chlorine, salt and UV, and hold their shape over time.

No. Never. Our swimsuits are designed to flatter your shape naturally: through the cut, the darts and the choice of fabric. We don't pad, we don't cheat. The point is that your bust looks exactly like what it is, at its best. The fit does everything.

Absolutely.

It's a stainless steel piece, resistant to water and salt, that sits at the centre of the neckline on the Dea, Feral and Rialta. It has become something of our signature: a discreet detail that draws the eye exactly where it should. The charm is sourced in Barcelona.

We do everything we can. Our visuals are shot in natural light and retouched with as few filters as possible. But a screen is a screen: slight variations are possible depending on the brightness and settings of your device.

You'll also notice that the "Dea" looks red sometimes and orange other times. It's a bit of a joker: depending on the sunlight, it reads as one or the other.

You'll need three measurements: your bust, your underbust and your hips.

If you're between two sizes, take the larger one. A slightly relaxed swimsuit beats one that's too tight. And if you're unsure, write to me with your exact measurements: I answer personally.

Our sizes are calibrated for small-bust shapes. This is not a "standard size shrunk down".

If you usually wear XS or S in mainstream brands, you're in your zone with us. And if you're more of an M or L elsewhere, don't worry: our grid goes up to 105 on top and L on the bottom, and our cuts are made to follow the body, not to compress it. The size guide gives you the exact match in centimetres.

For tops: from 80 to 105, in AA/A and B/C cups. For bottoms: XS to L. For the Rialta one-piece: XS to L. Every product page details the match in centimetres.

One thing to note: every model is a triangle except the Rialta. So even if you actually wear a 70 or a 75 AA/A, you fit perfectly into the first size, the 80-85-90 AA/A.

You can exchange your piece within 14 days, subject to availability. We're here to find the right size. The point is that you keep your swimsuit because it fits you perfectly, not because you have no choice.

We accept: credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, CB), Apple Pay, Shop Pay, PayPal, Klarna (instalments, subject to eligibility) and USDC (crypto).

Depending on your country, local payment methods are also available at checkout (Bancontact, iDEAL, BLIK, EPS, MobilePay, Przelewy24). All payments are secured through Shopify Payments.

If your order hasn't been packed yet, yes. Write to me as soon as possible at hello@lasmole.com. I pack parcels every day, so you need to be quick. Once the parcel is handed over to the carrier, I can no longer step in.

It shouldn't happen, but if it does, write to me immediately with a photo and your order confirmation. I take care of the return and of sending the right item, at no cost to you. No form to fill in, no waiting: we sort it out directly together.

I do. Every order is packed by hand, checked, wrapped and shipped by me. I pack parcels every day from Monday to Saturday and hand them to the carrier on the next business day. It matters to me that everything is spotless.

Everywhere. Mainland France, the European Union, the United Kingdom, Switzerland and internationally.

Pickup point delivery is free in France on orders over 100 €.

For deliveries outside the EU, customs duties and local taxes may apply on receipt. Those charges are payable by the recipient.

In mainland France: 2 to 5 business days after dispatch. In Europe: 5 to 10 business days depending on the country. You receive an email with your tracking number as soon as the parcel is handed to the carrier.

It depends on your destination.

In France: Mondial Relay (pickup point), Colissimo (home delivery) or Chronopost (express, delivered next day before 6pm).

In the European Union: Mondial Relay or Chronopost (pickup point) and Colissimo (home delivery).

In the United Kingdom and Switzerland: Colissimo.

Internationally (outside the UK and Switzerland): FedEx. You choose the option that suits you at checkout.

Each swimsuit is folded in tissue paper, slipped into a recycled paper pouch (or a letterbox), with a thank-you card. No unnecessary plastic. The shipping envelope is recyclable.

Returns for refund are accepted in three cases only: exercise of the right of withdrawal (14 days from receipt, no reason needed), a product that doesn't match the order (our error or a manufacturing defect), or a product damaged on arrival (provided you raised reservations with the carrier and told us within 3 business days, with photos).

Outside those cases, a change of mind or a sizing mistake on your side, no return for refund is accepted beyond the legal period. Important: every return needs our prior agreement.

No parcel sent back without that agreement will be accepted. The swimsuit must be unworn, unwashed, with the hygiene sticker intact, the tags in place, free of stains and odours, and in its original packaging.

Failing a single one of these criteria means the return is refused.

Return shipping is at your expense, including when you exercise your right of withdrawal.

We recommend a tracked and insured shipment: we can't be held responsible for a parcel returned without tracking. One exception: if the mistake is ours (wrong item, manufacturing defect), we cover the cost and organise the return.

Write to me at hello@lasmole.com with your order number and the reason for the return. I send you the instructions and a return label right away. No online form, no chatbot. It's me, directly.

The refund is issued within 14 days of receiving and checking the returned item.

If the return conditions aren't met, the item is sent back to you at your expense, with no refund. The refund goes back to the payment method used for the order.

Yes, subject to availability. Write to me and we'll sort it out. If the size you want is in stock, I send the new item as soon as I receive your return.

The golden rule: rinse in cold water after every swim, whether in the sea or in a pool. Salt and chlorine damage elastic fibres, but an immediate rinse is enough to neutralise them.

Then: hand wash with a mild soap, dry flat in the shade. No tumble dryer, no direct sun, no iron. These simple habits are the difference between a swimsuit that lasts one summer and one that lasts five.

I don't recommend it. But if you really have no other option: delicate cycle, 40 °C maximum, inside a wash bag, and never in the tumble dryer. Hand washing remains by far the better habit.

Our fabrics are solution dyed and tested to resist UV, chlorine and salt. The colours stay stable over time. Just avoid leaving a wet swimsuit in a bag for hours, which holds true for any textile.

Our fabrics come from recycled fibres (polyamide and polyester) and are OEKO-TEX and GRS certified. We produce in small runs to avoid waste. The workshop is in Portugal. The packaging is paper or recycled plastic.

Yes. The first collection is produced in a limited run. When it's gone, it's gone. We don't overproduce. If a model sees strong demand, we schedule it for a later run, but we never build up heavy stock.

The small-run model exists precisely so there aren't any. If pieces were left, they would be offered in private sales or folded into future collections. Nothing gets destroyed.

It's actively encouraged. A triangle under an oversized shirt, a one-piece with high-waisted jeans, an improvised crop top on a terrace: our pieces are designed as clothes in their own right.

Every product page describes the style and the effect of the model in detail. In short: the Dea and the Feral are very sensual, minimal micro triangles, stretchy and wearable several ways. The Abyssa and the Obsidia are embroidered triangles with a little more coverage. The Noctura is a sportier bralette shape. And the Rialta is a one-piece with a plunging neckline.

For now, La Smole lives online only, on lasmole.com. I hope to meet my future customers one day, but only if Collection 01 works. My motto: never put the cart before the horse again.
