I'm Daravy, founder of La Smole. I built this brand because I never found a swimsuit designed for me, for us.
Here, every piece is drawn, tested and shipped with one obsession: that the fit is right, that you feel good, and that everything runs smoothly. If your question isn't on this page, write to me directly at hello@lasmole.com, I reply personally, within 24h.
- Daravy
The brand
La Smole is a French swimwear brand designed for small busts. Cups AA, A, B and C, that's our core. We don't make swimwear "adapted" by default: we start from scratch, we draw each piece so the triangles are the right size, the shape is natural, and you never have to pull your top up all day again.
It's "small" the French way, unapologetic, with attitude. We took a word often thrown back at us as a limit, and turned it into the name of a whole brand. Nothing less, a lot more.
It's me, Daravy. I'm a corporate and M&A legal clerk, based in Paris.
I decided to launch La Smole on the side because I was done never finding what I wanted in existing brands, and I realized thousands (millions?) of women felt the same. I handle everything: art direction, fabric sourcing, the relationship with our workshop, shipping, customer service. Basically everything, for now. I hope to grow my team someday!
Our models are designed and pattern-drafted specifically for cups AA to C, all body types. If you wear a light D cup, some models might work for you, but we don't pretend to dress everyone. Our strength is exactly that specialization. You deserve a swimsuit designed for your silhouette, not a downsized standard.
Products & craft
In Guimarães, Portugal, by a workshop specialized in swimwear that I selected after several months of research.
The fabrics come from Italy and everything is OEKO-TEX certified, and most of our fabrics also carry the GRS certification (Global Recycled Standard).
We work with three main fabric families:
- A luminous stretch jersey, 82% recycled polyamide, 18% elastane. It's the fabric for Dea, Feral, Rialta and Matcha/Dalgo-Kini.
- A more structured material, 65% recycled polyamide, 35% elastane, ideal for embroidery. We use it on Abyssa and Obsidia.
- A special printed fabric, 82% recycled polyester, 18% elastane, with a matte and soft hand, perfect for prints. It's the fabric for the Matcha-Kini and the Dalgo-Kini.
All resist chlorine, salt, UV, and hold their shape over time.
No. Never. Our swimsuits are designed to enhance your silhouette naturally: through cuts, darts, fabric choice. We don't pad, we don't cheat. The goal is for your bust to look exactly like what it is, at its best. The fit does everything.
Absolutely.
It's a stainless steel piece, resistant to water and salt, placed at the center of the neckline on Dea, Feral and Rialta. It's become a bit of a signature, a discreet detail that pulls the eye exactly where it should. The charm is sourced in Barcelona.
We do everything we can. Our visuals are shot in natural light and retouched with as few filters as possible. But a screen is still a screen: slight variations are possible depending on your device's brightness and settings.
Also, you'll notice the "Dea" model appears sometimes red, sometimes orange. It's a little trickster: depending on the sunlight, it gives the impression of one or the other.
Sizes & fit
A detailed size guide and a size finder are available on the website.
You'll need three measurements: your bust, your underbust, and your hips.
If you're between two sizes, go for the larger one, better a slightly soft swimsuit than one that's too tight. And if you're unsure, write to me with your exact measurements, I'll reply personally.
Our sizes are calibrated for small-bust body types, it's not "downsized standard".
Our sizes are calibrated for small-bust body types, it's not "downsized standard". If you usually wear XS or S in mainstream brands, you'll be right at home with us. And if you're more M or L elsewhere, no worries: our range goes up to 105 on top and L on the bottom, and our cuts are made to hug, not to compress. The size guide gives you the exact conversion in centimeters.
For tops: sizes go from 80 to 105, in cups AA/A and B/C. For bottoms: XS to L. For the Rialta one-piece: XS to L. Each product page details the conversion in centimeters.
Note: all models are triangles except the Rialta. So even if you're actually a 70 or 75 AA/A, you fit perfectly in the first size, 80-85-90 AA/A!
You can exchange your piece within 14 days, subject to availability. We're here to find the right size, the goal is for you to keep your swimsuit because it fits you perfectly, not because you don't have a choice.

Returns & exchanges
Returns for refund are accepted only in three cases: exercise of the right of withdrawal (14 days after receipt, no reason required), non-conforming product (our error or manufacturing defect), or product damaged on receipt (subject to noting it with the carrier and reporting it within 3 business days with photos).
Outside these cases, change of mind, wrong size on your side, no return for refund is accepted beyond the legal period. Important: any return requires our prior agreement.
Any package sent back without this agreement won't be accepted. The swimsuit must be unworn, unwashed, with the hygiene sticker intact, tags in place, no stain or odor, and in its original packaging.
Failing even one of these criteria results in the return being refused.
Return shipping is on you, including for withdrawal.
We recommend a tracked and insured shipment, we can't be held responsible for a package returned without tracking. Only exception: if the error is on our side (wrong item, manufacturing defect), we cover the costs and organize the return.
Write to me at hello@lasmole.com with your order number and the reason for the return. I'll send you the instructions and a return label right after. No online form, no chatbot, it's me, directly.
The refund is processed within 14 days after receipt and inspection of the returned item.
If the return conditions aren't met, the item will be sent back to you at your expense, without refund. The refund is credited on the payment method used for the order.
Yes, subject to availability. Write to me and we'll sort it. If the size you want is in stock, I send the new item as soon as I receive your return.
Care
Golden rule: rinse with cold water after every swim, whether in the sea or in the pool. Salt and chlorine damage the elastic fibers, but a quick rinse right away neutralizes them.
Then: hand wash with mild soap, dry flat in the shade. No dryer, no direct sun, no iron. These simple moves are the difference between a swimsuit that lasts one summer and one that lasts five.
I don't recommend it. But if you really have no choice: delicate cycle, 40°C max, inside a laundry bag, and never in the dryer. Hand washing is by far the best reflex.
Our fabrics are solution-dyed and tested to resist UV, chlorine and salt. Colors stay stable over time. Just avoid leaving a wet swimsuit in a bag for hours, that goes for any textile.
Commitments
Our fabrics are made from recycled fibers (polyamide and polyester) and certified OEKO-TEX and GRS. We produce in small batches to avoid waste. The workshop is in Portugal. Packaging is paper or recycled plastic.
Yes. The first collection is produced in a limited run. When it's sold out, it's sold out. We don't overproduce. If a model is in high demand, we reschedule it for a future run, but we never hold massive stock.
The small-batch model exists precisely to avoid having any. If pieces remain, they'd be offered in private sales or integrated into future collections. Nothing will be destroyed.
Style
Encouraged, even. A triangle under an oversized shirt, a one-piece with high-waisted jeans, an improvised crop top on a terrace: our pieces are designed as real clothes.
Each product page describes the model's style and look in detail. In short: Dea and Feral are very sensual, minimalist micro triangles. Super stretchy and wearable in several ways. Abyssa and Obsidia are triangles with embroidery, a bit more covering. Noctura is a more sporty bralette style. And Rialta is a one-piece with a plunging neckline.
