How to measure
Use a soft tape measure. Measure directly on your skin or over thin underwear, without pulling tight. Stand straight, relaxed.

Bust
Wrap a measuring tape around your bust at the fullest point (across the nipples). Stand straight, arms down, don't pull tight.

Underbust
Place the tape just under your bust, fully horizontal, against your skin. Exhale normally and measure.

Waist
At the natural curve of your waist (the narrowest point of your torso), tape horizontal, don't pull tight.

Hips
At the widest point of your hips and bottom, standing with feet together, tape fully horizontal.

Height
Your standing height, barefoot, back flat against a wall. Measure from floor to the top of your head. (Needed for the one-piece only.)

How to figure out your cup? Measure your bust and your underbust, then calculate the difference: less than 12 cm = AA/A, 12 cm or more = B/C.

Height is the main criterion: it sets the length of the swimsuit. Hips, bust and waist are secondary.

Between two sizes? Go by your height first (± 5 cm tolerance). A swimsuit slightly loose at the hips is fine, but too long or too short at the torso will be uncomfortable.

Frequently asked questions
I'm between two sizes, what should I do?
For tops, prioritize your underbust measurement. For bottoms, go up a size if you're unsure. For the Rialta, your height is the priority - a swimsuit that's too long or too short in the torso will be more uncomfortable than a slight adjustment at the hips.
Do your swimsuits run small or large?
Our swimsuits are designed specifically for small busts - they run true to size, neither small nor large. If you usually wear standard swimsuits where the triangles are too big or the cup gapes, our cuts should fit you perfectly.
What cup corresponds to AA/A and B/C?
At LA SMOLE, the cup is determined by the difference between your bust and underbust measurements. Less than 12 cm difference = AA/A cup (very small bust). 12 cm or more = B/C cup (small bust). Our B cup corresponds to AA in standard sizing, and our C corresponds to standard A.
I wear an 85B at H&M, what size should I take?
An H&M 85B roughly corresponds to our size 80-85-90 B/C. But be aware: lingerie and swimwear sizing varies significantly between brands. We recommend taking your measurements to be sure.
Is there padding in your swimsuits?
No. No padding, no push-up, no removable cups. Our swimsuits follow the bust as it is. The shape comes from the cut and the pattern, not from artifice.
What if my size is not available?
LA SMOLE covers underbust measurements from 63 to 92 cm and hips from 82 to 106 cm. If your measurements fall outside this range, write to us at hello@lasmole.com - we'll note it for future collections.
