17 pieces

Swimwear designed for small busts, AA, A, B and C cups. Patterns built from scratch, recycled Italian fabric, made in Portugal.

Why swimwear for small busts, and not just swimwear in a small size

Almost every swimwear brand starts from a pattern drawn on a B cup, then scales it down. The proportions stay those of another body: triangles come out too wide, straps sit too far apart, the cup gapes as soon as you move. The garment is not too big, it is badly built.

LA SMOLE does the opposite. Every piece was pattern-drafted from a blank page, with a pattern maker, for AA to C cups. Volumes, grading and tie anchor points are calculated for a small bust, not derived from a standard size.

No foam, no push-up, no underwire

None of our styles contain moulded cups, removable padding or underwire. The shape comes from the cut, the gathering and the choice of fabric. It is a deliberate choice: a padded swimsuit promises a volume your body does not produce, and the promise falls apart the moment you get out of the water.

What you will find in Collection 01

  • Micro triangles (DEA, FERAL): the most minimal cut, worn stretched or gathered, with a stainless steel sun charm at the centre.
  • Embroidered triangles (ABYSSA, OBSIDIA): slightly more coverage, edged with a hand-stitched white whipstitch.
  • The bralette (NOCTURA): V neckline and underbust band, the hold comes from the band, not from a rigid cup.
  • Printed triangles (DALGO-KINI, MATCHA-KINI): marbled pattern, limited edition.
  • The one-piece (RIALTA): plunging V neckline, open back, gathered at the waist.

Tops come in 80, 85, 90, 95, 100 and 105, in AA/A and B/C cups. Bottoms go from XS to L, as a tie-side tanga or a classic brief. Top and bottom are chosen separately: most of us do not wear the same size on top and below.

Which size to choose

Here, the cup is read from the gap between your bust and your underbust. Less than 12 cm, you are AA/A. From 12 cm, you are B/C. Our B cup roughly matches a standard AA. The size guide details the three measurements to take and gives the conversions in centimetres.

Fabrics and manufacturing

The jerseys come from Italy and are mostly made of recycled polyamide or polyester, OEKO-TEX and GRS certified. The elastane is not recycled: that supply chain does not exist at our production scale, and we would rather say so. Sewing happens in Portugal, in short runs, without overproduction.

The most frequent questions about sizing, care and returns are gathered in the FAQ.
